Welcome to Dawson Forest Animal Hospital.  Our team is led by Dr. Dana C. Allen and her wonderful staff.  We look forward to meeting you and your pet family!

    Dana C. Allen
    Veterinarian/Owner

    Dr. Allen is the owner of Dawson Forest Animal Hospital.  She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 after completing her undergraduate degree from Berry College.  She grew up in south Forsyth and north Fulton County, and moved to Dawsonville shortly after graduating veterinary school.  She opened Dawson Forest Animal Hospital in 1997.

    Lead Veterinary Technician

    Christy has been with Dawson Forest Animal Hospital for a total of 5 years dating back to 2007.  She left a couple of years ago when she relocated out of state.  In the time that she was out of the state, she worked in emergency.  She has been a veterinary technician for over 19 years.

    Veterinary assistant/Kennel manager

    Christen started her career as a kennel assistant in 2015 and quickly discovered she was interested in working towards becoming a veterinary technician. She is currently enrolled at Penn Foster where she is studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. After a few years of experience she joined the Dawson Forest Animal Hospital in September of 2017 as a veterinary assistant.

    Amy also recently returned to Dawson Forest Animal Hospital.  Amy is a highly-skilled groomer with 20+ years experience.  She has two adult children and a grandson.  She also has 4 dogs and 2 cats.

    Beth is new to the Dawson Forest Hospital family.  After taking the last 19 years off to raise her children (Kyle, Carson & Cole), she has reentered the work place where she can use her passion for animals and desire to care for our furry friends.


    Beth is married to her husband Rick and they live in Cumming, Georgia along with their 3 dogs Layla, Bo and Max.
